A Bit About Me
I'm a pretty average guy in my own unique way. I spent the first 26 years of my life living in one house (except for two years when I served a mission to Northern California) in the Eastern part of the Salt Lake Valley in Utah. While growing-up, my immediate family consisted of my paternal Grandmother Sharee, My Mom and Dad, and two brothers - Matt and Michael. When I was born, we had a Golden Lab named Buff but he was put to sleep in the early 1990's. I still miss him. After him, we got some cats and cats we've had since then! (First Thomas then Max, Simon, Abby, Cassie, Luka, and Whisper - Thomas ran away and Max was hit by a car. The other four still live in that wonderful house in Salt Lake.)

While growing up, I was an eccentric child - I found interest in almost every subject. My passions included aviation, science, books, and the military. I've wanted to be a marine biologist, a fighter pilot, a Marine, and a paleontologist (among other things). I've been through Woodstock Elementary, Bonneville Junior High, and Cottonwood High School.

My genealogy is a mix of German, English, Dutch, and Swiss. Mostly, I could probably be described as an English German. I'm related to some talented leaders, adventurers, and poets though my family history is still an ongoing research subject.

When I was nineteen, I was called on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Northern California - the Roseville Mission. This extended from just north of Sacramento to just short of the Oregon border and encompassed the central half of the state (east to west). This has probably had a greater effect on my life and personality than most anything else. I served under President Danel Bachman.

Upon returning home, after spending a couple of years working to save some money, I started my education in Physics. This is still ongoing and will be for quite some time. It is presently one of my most important and passionate goals but is overshadowed by other responsibilities and so has, out of necessity, become a part-time pursuit. I won't be done until I receive a Ph.D. so this will be a major aspect of my life for years to come.

In 2008, I met Toni Marie Lawrence and, within months, we were inseparable. We were married on May 7th, 2010 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and there is no other person on this planet to whom I can express a greater love or a purer expression.

In May of 2011 we found that we were to have a baby in January of 2012! This news filled our hearts and minds with anticipation and excitement. We've named her Lynlee Marie after her mother and Marilyn Lee, a close family friend and a tremendous example.

Our lives are centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and, due partly to my [hopefully beneficial] boldness and partly to Marie's powerful love, we enjoy sharing it with those around us. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We know this Church to be guided and led by the Savior through revelation to living Apostles who hold His authority - the Priesthood. We know this because we also believe in personal revelation. (In other words there are two lines of revelation and authority: the formal and informal lines.) By praying, we declare that anybody can know the truth and follow it. It is only through Jesus Christ and the principles that he teaches that any person finds lasting happiness in this life and in the life to come.

Right now, Marie and I are dwelling in a humble apartment in Orem, Utah and look forward to a life filled with education, success, and service! I am presently pursuing an interest in exoplanets and researching my family history. I'm also conducting a systematic study of the great physicists to find patterns in their character, skills, and talents.
